The Fanatec GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli puts amateur drivers at the centre of GT racing, offering world-class cars run by professional teams within a relaxed atmosphere where they can thrive. GT2 sits below GT3 in the SRO pyramid, giving amateurs a place to develop on a level playing field and hone their skills with extensive track time. A GT2 car features more outright power than a GT3 but is less dependent on its aerodynamics to produce the best lap times, making it more friendly to race for an amateur. Launched in 2021, the series enters its fourth season in fine health following the introduction of two new global brands to the grid last term, whilst a wealth of new teams and drivers also joined the field. The class of 2024 will include no fewer than six manufacturers, with series newcomers Mercedes-AMG and Maserati joining Audi, Porsche, KTM, Lamborghini and Porsche. All six rounds of the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli will run in tandem with Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, including a first appearance on the support package for the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa as the marquee race celebrates its centenary.
